12. Tootsie’s Restaurant

This painting I bought back from the owner of Tootsie’s, who bought it in 1978. After closing his business, three wives and downsizing, he did not have room for it. Painted in 1977 while working in Tootsie’s Restaurant in Notting hill gate, just before I left London for Bruton Somerset to paint full time. Longing for the countryside.
